Lakouwôn is a nonprofit organization based on the principles of empowering our community and Children of Haiti. Our mission is to inspire and empower the children of Haiti. To protect and enhance Haiti’s Culture for present and future generations and teach to honor and keep the memory Ancestors and Lwas alive.
Furthermore, we aim to promote awareness through educating the public about our culture, the ancestors and the spirits (Lwas). Lakouwôn is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Section 501(c)(3) is the portion of the US Internal Revenue Code that allows for federal tax exemption of nonprofit organizations, specifically those that are considered public charities, private foundations or private operating foundations.

As a non profit organization, we hope to empower the youth of Haiti and the Haitian Diaspora through educating and providing assistance, through education and healthcare.
